Indoor Measures - COVID-19
We have been working hard to ensure our sessions and provision remains a safe environment. We have implemented a wide range of measures relating to our indoor sessions, including what is detailed below and more on our risk assessment.
Please ensure you read this information below thoroughly before attending any of our sessions or provision
All relevant personnel have completed industry specific CIMSPA Reactivate COVID19 Awareness Training
All relevant personnel have completed Covid 19 rehabilitation training
Do not attend any of our provision if you are experiencing any COVID 19 symptoms
No-one should leave home to participate in sport or physical activity if they, or someone they live with, has symptoms of COVID -19 currently recognised as any of the following:
- A high temperature
- A new, continuous cough
- A loss of, or change to, their sense of smell or taste
Should an individual have demonstrated any such symptoms, they must follow NHS and PHE guidance on self-isolation
We strongly advise participants to follow Government and PHE advice inside and outside the physical activity setting, including

Sessions will operate with a restriction on the number of participants to maintain social distancing
Participants must pre book on every session
Electronic registration process available
Participants to only attend 5 minutes before the session is due to start
Social Distancing at 2m to be maintained on arrival before the start of the session and after the activity when exiting - distancing markers will be in position
Social Distancing is to be maintained at 2m throughout the activity - temporary floor markings will be in use
Areas where the sessions will take place, will be filled with rows starting with the furthest away from the entrance
Sessions will be dismissed row by row starting with the closest to the exit
Participants to promptly vacate venue as soon as session has finished
Participants to come dressed for the activity
Participants to bring their own water to keep hydrated during the session
Participants are advised not to travel to / come to the sessions with different households or mix with different households
Participants are reminded not to mix with different households before, during and after the session
Temporary floor markings will be used to create separate and distinct groups of up to six people, or larger groups if from the same household or support bubble, with no mixing
Participants are advised to follow venue guidelines and wear face coverings before / after physical activity / exercise in specific areas of the venue
Participants are encouraged to use the venue QR Code
We have ensured there will be 100sf of total usable venue space
We have ensured good ventilation and a fresh air supply - opening windows, leaving doors open where feasible, having ventilation fans running

Participants to wash / sanitise their hands inline with relevant hand hygiene guidance before leaving home
Participants to sanitise their hands before and after the session - sanitiser stations available
Hand sanitiser will be available - participants are encouraged to bring their own too
Cleaning Station provided with antiviral spray and disposable towels
There will be no Shared Equipment – equipment to be used by only one participant
Equipment will be cleaned with antiviral spray before and after every use
Removal of touch points, leaving doors open, wherever possible
There will be a verbal safety Briefing before session starts detailing sessions rules including-:
- Self Assessment
- Disclaimer
- Social Distancing
- Hand Hygiene
- Avoid touching face
- Catching sneeze in arm or tissue
There will be specialist PPE in case of First Aid provision
There will be a buffer in between sessions to facilitate social distancing
No music played at a level that makes normal conversation difficult
Use of toilets inline with Government Advice
Applied a restriction on the the number of sessions / venues instructors teach / deliver activity at
Participants of projects can receive home based fitness programmes if they feel that is appropriate for them and would prefer not to attend sessions
EMD UK guidance - for someone returning from isolation due to suspected or confirmed COVID - 19 case - "No participate will return to the class for at least 10 days from the onset of symptoms and they must be at least 7 days will no symptoms. They will not be allowed back to the venue for at least 14 days from the onset of symptoms and will require clearance from the COVID Medical Officer before they return."
Participants are encouraged to follow best practice for travel including minimising use of public transport and limiting car sharing. Walk or cycle if you can. People from a household or support bubble can travel together in a vehicle.

Covid-19 often referred to as coronavirus, is a highly infectious disease that can result in serious and potentially fatal illness. The risk of the transmission of Covid 19 cannot be completely eradicated; there is a risk of the transmission of Covid19 in any environment where people come together.
